American Gold Eagles BU (Uncirculated) and Proof
These are the official bullion gold coin of the U.S. Mint, with the beautiful classical design by Augustus St. Gaudens. The Proof American Gold Eagle is the only numismatic gold coin allowed for investing in precious metals IRAs. The proof coins are available individually or in 4-coin sets, with one coin of each size. As numismatic items, the proof coins do have a higher premium than the Uncirculated bullion coins.
Available in four sizes: 1 oz., 1/2 oz., 1/4 oz., 1/10 oz. The smaller coins have higher premiums, but they represent more divisibility than the large coins.
