Gold Jewelry
We pay 88% of pure melt value for 9k to 22k gold. These prices are for metal weight only, not including the weight of stones.
We don’t play games by trying to low-ball you at first, and then increasing our offer. When you ship your jewelry to us, we will make you an immediate offer based on the current spot price of gold. Please note that the precious metals market trades in terms of troy ounces (31.1 grams per ounce). If you are not satisfied with our offer, we will gladly return your jewelry.
As for the type of jewelry we buy, we buy solid gold jewelry from 10-24 carats. The jewelry should be marked as 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K, etc. We do not buy costume jewelry, gold-plated, or gold filled pieces. It has to be the solid gold type.
We will test the metal content before we make an offer to buy, because some jewelry is falsely marked. Please use a magnet on your jewelry to weed out potential fakes before you ship. Gold will not stick to a magnet, so if you do get a stick, you can rule that piece out. Some fakes will not attract to a magnet, however, so we do further testing once your jewelry arrives.
We base our buy prices on the precious metal content of the jewelry, and we do not buy stones. If you would like to keep your stones, please remove them before you send your pieces. Otherwise, we will remove them before we determine the precious metal content of your pieces.
Make sure that when you ship your jewelry, you insure it for what you think it may be worth, so that you will be able to make a claim in case your package is lost in the mail. Please read Selling Instructions for complete information on how to sell to us.
